On-grid solar system Antalya

Antalya on-grid solar systems by Antalya Solar Energy — connect to the grid, export surplus energy, and reduce your electricity bill to near zero with Turkey's net metering programme.

What is an On-Grid Solar System?

An on-grid (grid-tied) solar system connects solar panels directly to the utility grid. Electricity generated during the day is consumed immediately; any surplus is exported to the grid and credited to your account through Turkey's net metering (mahsuplaşma) scheme. At night or on cloudy days, you draw from the grid as normal. This system offers the fastest payback period of any solar configuration.

How Does Net Metering Work in Turkey?

  1. Solar panels generate electricity during daylight hours.
  2. Your home or business consumes what it needs; surplus flows to the grid.
  3. A bidirectional meter records both import and export.
  4. Monthly billing: you pay only the net difference (consumption minus export).
  5. Annual settlement: excess credits roll over; some utilities offer buy-back rates.

Antalya Solar Yield Estimates

System Size Annual Yield Annual Saving Payback
5 kWp~7,500 kWh~₺22,5004–5 yrs
10 kWp~15,000 kWh~₺45,0004–5 yrs
50 kWp~72,500 kWh~₺217,5003–4 yrs

Based on Antalya specific yield: 1,450–1,500 kWh/kWp/year. Electricity price ₺3.00/kWh.

Types of On-Grid Inverters

String Inverter

All panels connected in series to one central inverter. Lower cost, easy maintenance. Best for unshaded rooftops.

Microinverter

One inverter per panel. Minimises shade impact; individual panel monitoring. Higher upfront cost but better partial-shade performance.

On-Grid Installation Process

  1. Free Survey: On-site energy analysis, shading assessment, system sizing
  2. Design: Electrical schematic, panel layout, single-line diagram
  3. TEDAS Application: Grid connection application and permits (handled by us)
  4. Installation: Panel, inverter and switchboard installation (2–4 days)
  5. Commissioning: Bidirectional meter installation, system handover

FAQ — On-Grid Systems

What happens during a power cut?

Standard grid-tied inverters automatically shut down during outages (anti-islanding protection). To maintain power during cuts, a hybrid system with battery storage is required — we can upgrade any on-grid system.

How long does TEDAS grid connection take?

Residential and small commercial systems typically receive grid connection approval within 30–60 days. Larger industrial systems may take 3–6 months. We manage the entire process on your behalf.
